Sure, put yourself in every combo. Wink
Stars13

uh, hello? Im right here. That was not me. But they have a very good point!
crazylegs

As much as I wish I had his talent, I am not Kram. I just know he can be combined with any STARS forward and be a lethal combination.
AmericanBarbie

you must be a kram of some sort.
crazylegs

nope, just a fan.
TheOutsider

I don’t know much about the MPHL, so if I’m out to lunch on any of this please correct me, but based on what info is on their website wouldn’t the Twite/Wilson combo be the favorite?

The two have combined for like 10 pts a game in the last 2 years compared to 6.5 for the Kram/Holmquist duo.

I know you can’t use stats to compare players from different leagues due to the huge differences in the way PowerHockey is played across NA. But within the same league, shouldn’t you be able too...

Oh ya, I saw on the Saints website that Twite is an ex football player...I don’t know anything about him, but I haven’t ever seen an ex football player in PowerHockey before. Sounds freakin’ scary to me.
Stars13

Chuck Mallard, who used to play PowerHockey for Michigan, was a football player before his accident. Unfortunetly he has not been playing PowerHockey now for a few years.

As far as MPHL, there are many differences in the way that game is played, from gym size to how many level 1's and 3's can or have to play. But the one big factor is, has anyone played against the Twite/Wilson combo?

No.

No.

So within the MPHL itself there are different rules used? And different sized playing surfaces. Wow, that would make it hard to compare two players even from the same league.

I'd change my vote to the Selects. I was very impressed with those two.

Me to..........but I have to stay with my team GO SAINTS

????????????????????
crazylegs

Hey, he schooled your ass, so I would keep your mouth shut. Besides that, he and Falconer combined for more pts than any other combo. Also, Nathan out assisted your boy Wilson and was only 3 goals behind him and doubled the production of your other boy Twite. Not bad considering he's a level 2 and his other competitors were level 1's. So if you are going to discredit him, who would YOU give the MVP award to?
AmericanBarbie

While I think all forwards played well, Nathan played extremely well and deserved both awards. He and Mike are a great combo.
crazylegs

I agree, all forwards and players for that matter, played especially well. I just wanted to point out to D. Kaup that he did deserve the awards. this tourney had the best skill yet this far and it will continue to grow each year. Thats truely exciting!
slayer21

AmericanBarbie

He is a good player, Dave. He just was trying to help.
slayer21

I found out who u are crazylegs. No wonder why u got a big mouth your chris kram who bitches and complains the whole game.
crazylegs

Thats ok Kaup, I know I already got your vote. No need to play tough guy now. Ha ha ha ha!
slayer21

I'm not playing a tough guy i am one. Twisted Evil

Nathan is a very good player but the only problem I had with him winning MVP was the fact that he was not even the best player on his own team. The MVP of the tourney should have been Falconer.
slayer21

I agree with you saints 87
crazylegs

OK look, Falconer IS a great player. He is definitly deserving of a nomination. However, I think Nathan received the majority of the votes because of his over all ability. I think you guys are interchanging talent with strength. Sure Falconer is obviously the strongest Select member. But I think the voters were looking at over all talent. The Most Valuable Player is a player who when playing, gives their team the best chances at winning. Or on the flip side, when they are on th bench, their team does not perform as well. Someone who provides the most diverse of talents. Not just any one aspect. For instance, Craig on the Stars plays D and is a level 3. However, with out his true abilty to defend a break away player, we would have been much farther in deep at any point. And he scored a goal! So I dont think its right to be running your mouths about a player that clearly deserves what he earned.

Kaup-repling to your comment about your disgust with Nathan telling you how to play. Maybe you should listen. He is on the Championship team, i'm sure he could teach you something. I myself would have given you some constructive criticism but I dont have that kinda time.
87Saints

After thinking it over I don’t think an argument such as this should go on they are both great players and both deserving. No matter MVP or any award they both have the one thing that counts in the end the cup.
crazylegs

Absolutely!
slayer21

what ever crazylegs i also dont have the time to listen to what u have to say. Let me repeat what i said nathan deserved the awards so lets start another topic.
moajdev

Guys you cant change the past....the awards have been given out and the correct players got those awards....enough said.

But one last thing.......the Saints have gotten a lot better since 2001 and will continue to get better so look out....
MNStar25
