Officiating???Was it me or was the officiating inconsistent at the Cup?
There were several occasions when the crowd had to make the officials aware of violations. At least in our games.
Seemed like they would let you play and then all of a sudden call a penalty on someone when something little happened.

Do they pay your officials in your league? I wonder if these guys got paid?

Not during the summer they dont get paid. I think officials only get paid during the tournaments.

I kinda liked some of the officiating. It's worth the laugh to get called for dangerous driving when one of your teammates rams you  . And then being told by the ref that you lost control of your chair...

Interesting. If I were a player, I wouldn't want to ref a game then.
I did notice one of the officials were there with the Michigan team. We actually say them in Banff and he was with them.
Wonder if he officiated any Michigan games??

He was the only ref our team (Saints) had a problem with. I didnt know that if you backed up and bump the net you would get 2:00......

He told myself and our other goalie that......i was getting pissed cuz none of the other refs said anything....the other refs even told me when i had the corners blocked off...pretty sweet if ya ask me
