Between the two Canadian teams I would have to say Toronto would be the one to be eliminated first just going by the fact that Calgary won the 2005 Canadian National Tournament.

Its tough to compare the Canadian Championship to the powerHockey Cup. They are all very familiar with each other in Canada, so in any game either team really may win. However, Calgary has never played or seen Carolina or Saints, but Toronto has. So Toronto has an advantage there. Also, Calgary has not played against the STARS since '98. So its a tough one, i cant wait to see how it plays out!

I could be wrong, but didn't Calgary face the Stars & Saints (granite the Saints are a very different team now) in '01?

Yes & No. i was wrong about the saints as they did play calgary in '01 and lost 8-1, but you are also correct that they were a complety different team. But the STARS did not get matched against Calgary in '01 I think only team that they did not face.
